What it is
A fully funded solar panel system, up to 2kWp with battery storage and at no cost, for a home where someone depends on electrically powered medical equipment such as an oxygen concentrator, dialysis machine or ventilator. You qualify by being registered in the life support category of ESB Networks' Priority Services Register with your electricity supplier, and since 2025 all homeowners on that register can be considered. It is run through the suppliers rather than by open application, so make sure you are on the register and they will contact eligible customers. Some conditions apply to the property, so confirm with your supplier.
Who can get it
- Someone in the home depends on electrically powered medical equipment (for example an oxygen concentrator, dialysis machine or ventilator)
- You are registered in the life support category of ESB Networks' Priority Services Register through your electricity supplier
- You are a homeowner (since 2025 all homeowners on that register can be considered)
- It is fully funded, no cost to you, and includes a solar panel system up to 2kWp with battery storage.
- It runs through the electricity suppliers, not by open application, so the key step is making sure you are on the ESB Networks life support register.
