What it is
Covers the full cost of testing, assessment and repair work if your home was damaged by pyritic heave in the floor hardcore. For owner-occupied homes built between 1997 and December 2013 in Dublin, Kildare, Meath or Offaly, with a Building Condition Assessment showing significant damage. Applications close 30 November 2026.

- You own and live in the affected home (it is for owner-occupied homes)
- The home was built between 1997 and December 2013 in Dublin, Kildare, Meath or Offaly
- A Building Condition Assessment shows significant pyrite damage (a damage condition rating of 2)
- It covers the full cost, testing, assessment and the repair work itself, so there is no charge to the homeowner.
- The repair usually means lifting the ground floor, removing and replacing the affected hardcore, and reinstating the floor.
- Applications close on 30 November 2026, so affected owners should apply in good time.
