The PPN is not a grant. It is how your community, voluntary or environmental group registers to hear about local funding and to have a say in council decisions. Ask your local PPN if there is any cost to register.

What it is
Each of Ireland's 31 local authority areas has a Public Participation Network. It is how community, voluntary and environmental groups register to hear about local funding, have a say in council decisions and nominate representatives. Not a grant itself, the way community groups stay connected to what is available locally.
Who can get it
- You are a not-for-profit, volunteer-led community, voluntary or environmental group, or a group representing people who are socially excluded, active and with a postal address in the local authority area
- You want to hear about local funding early and have a say in council and committee decisions
- You register your group with your local PPN using its registration form
- Each of the 31 local authority areas has a PPN. Some counties have more than one, for example separate PPNs for Cork City and Cork County.
- It is how community groups nominate representatives onto council committees, so it is your route to a say in local decisions.
- It is not a grant itself, but it is how you stay connected to the grants and consultations that come up locally.
